What is my favorite Essential Oil?
It's Oregano Oil. Let me tell you why...
Once again, I'm not a health care professional, it's just my personal opinion.
Oregano Oil is the strongest antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and pain reliever out there. We use it all the time. Hey, and you get to smell like a pizza factory! Tom says it's his favorite perfume.
My favorite book about oregano is by Dr. Cass Ingram and is "The Cure Is In The Cupboard" If you purchase this book you will find Oregano Oil is the cure all Oil. Oregano is a medicine chest in a bottle. What I like about Oregano Oil is it can reverse numerous ailments, such as:
- Allergies
- Arthritis
- Asthma
- Athlete's Foot
- Back Pain
- Bites
- Bronchitis
- Candidiasis
- Canker Sores
- Colds
- Cold Sores
- Colitis
- Congestion
- Diarrhea
- Ear Aches
- Eczema
- Fatigue
- Flu
- Gastritis
- Gum Disease
- Neuritis
- Prostatitis
- Psoriasis
- Ringworm
- Sinusitis
- Wounds
- And dozens of others
In my opinion Oregano will
- Save you money on doctor or hospital bills
- give you an insurance plan against everyday infections such as sore throats, colds, flu, ear aches, pneumonia, and bronchitis.
- Reduce pain, risk of infection, expense and worry in case of sudden injury.
- and MORE
Dr Ingram espouses North American Herb and Spice Company Oregano Oil. That is the first Oregano Oil I used. It is great, but in my opinion very pricey. So, I did some searching. I tried NOW Foods Essential Oils, which I found to be excellent for my family. It is strong. I have used Young Family Living Oregano Oil, and Peppermint Oil and found theirs to be extremely mild. Thus, I had to use an awful lot to do the same thing small amounts of Now or North American did.
I cut my Oregano Oil with Olive Oil. I know others use different oils, but I just prefer to use the same oil that Christ used, and Olive Oil is always in my cupboard.
I know I sound like a commercial, but let me tell you about two really amazing experiences amongst many.
A few years ago my dad and brother were at the Pioneer Cemetery and were standing on the large cement square that overlooked the old cemetery. Good thing my brother was with my dad, because my dad stepped backwards as he was looking around and fell off. He fell about 2 1/2 feet into weeds and rocky ground. My brother helped him up, got him back into his truck and home. My dad hurt so much that he couldn't stand up or even touch his leg.
My dad likes to think he is tough and he was ready to go to the hospital but didn't know how he could even get there since he couldn't stand up, put any weight on his leg, or even touch it without screaming out in pain. This coming from a guy who spent many years out dirt biking, coming home bloody, sore, bruised and broken and telling how he was ready to go the next Saturday for some more fun. My brother called and asked me to come over and help get him to the hospital.
I brought my Oil of Oregano just to ease the pain so we could get him into the car. My brother Mike just dabbed the Oil of Oregano on his swollen and very bruised leg without cutting it with Olive Oil. My dad was gritting his teeth, and crying out in pain from just my brother barely touching his leg. We sat for about 10 minutes while Mike was telling me what happened. As he is telling the story, my dad starts thumping his leg with a cane and exclaimed that he didn't have anymore pain. He got up walked around the room declaring he didn't need to see a doctor.
He and my brother bought several bottles of Oregano Oil the next day for their First Aide kits.
My next experience I'd like to tell you about is really rather silly.
This past winter I had this really "great" idea that I would take my Great Pyrenees puppy to the mailbox at the curb. It was snowing and the walkway and sidewalk was icy. The wind was blowing like crazy. "Brilliant" me, decided this was a perfect time to work on getting the puppy to walk on a lease. I thought or didn't think, whatever the case may be, that since the walk was so short, and no one was outside that it would be a great time because she wouldn't be distracted by people.
The puppy (who at that time was the size of a full grown Labrador) walked out to the mailbox just fine. I was so proud of myself and her. I got the mail and turned to go back towards the house. She on the other hand had a different idea. She wanted to keep on going. I finally got her turned around, and all was going well again. I've got my arms full of mail. I'm wearing slippers of all things, and no coat in the snow, with the wind whipping around like crazy.
This I'm not proud to say, was NOT one of my brighter moments in life. She and I are walking towards the walkway when she spots a cat that I can barely make out in the next block over. How she could spot that cat is beyond me. She must have eyes like an eagle. She lunges on the leash, and the leash in a freak accident slipped along my pinkie finger snapping it. I heard my finger snap! The pain! I now have a broken finger, a dog trying to get a cat, the snow is coming down harder, I'm in slippers, no coat, husband at work, and my arms are full of mail. Yep, I'm really feeling like a fool at this point. I get her under control, and to the side of the house so I can get her in the backyard. She then decided to lay down in the snow on the driveway, and won't budge at all. It's freezing, and this stupid dog in the warmest fur coat of all is enjoying lounging in the snow. I'm in PAIN, so my hand is pretty useless at this point. Finally, I was able to convince this big hairy dog to go inside. Okay, I did some mighty praying.
My finger is broke, I'm in pain, and my pride is wounded. My finger is turning a lovely shade of purple, blue, and black, and swelling. I could hardly touch my finger without screaming. I've got to work the next morning and I just don't know how I'm going to type.
I grabbed the bottle of Oregano Oil that is always ready to go, (I've got several bottles that have been cut with Olive Oil.) and slathered it on my pinky. I wrapped it up in gauze and splinted it.
The next afternoon, my brother and his wife asked me to come over and help with a project. I told them the story of my broken finger and showed how the swelling was gone, and the pinky was only slightly discolored. I could now bend my finger with some pain all the way down to my palm. It was amazing. Here it is five months later and you can't tell my finger was ever broken.
Oil of Oregano works! We have used it so many times for Bronchitis, infections, you name it we use it. It is my first line of defense for everything. Oil of Oregano is perfect for your preparedness First Aide supplies... in my opinion.
