Home-Made Insect Repellent Spray and Lotion

Simple, simple, simple! Isn't that what we all want? What could be easier and more natural than using essential oils instead of using those poisons that fill the commercial bottles of insect repellents? Natural essential oils smell wonderful and don't cause harm to your body.
Make your own insect repellent sprays and lotions with one or more of the listed essential oils.
–Lemongrass
–Eucalyptus
–Peppermint
–Lavender
–Cedarwood
–Citronella
–Purification (YL Blend)
To make a spray, use a base of either witch hazel, olive oil, or vodka.  The ratio is 10 parts base to 2 parts essential oil. Place in spray bottle.

To make a lotion, use:
–Two ounces of distilled water
–Two ounces of olive oil
–Approximately 120 drops essential oil (Citronella/Purification is the most effective for insect repellent use)

–Put the water into a deep mixing bowl

–Using a wire whip, begin beating quickly while slowly drizzling in the olive oil.

–After oil is mixed into the distilled water, stir in the essential oil of your choice.
–Place in jar or bottle.

No expiration dates!
No harmful poisons!
Nothing to harm you or the environment!
Just a pure a simple insect repellent!
