Let us all seek to receive all the blessings that our Lord and most Holy Savior Jesus Christ desires to bless each of us with, as we keep His commandments and seek His face while in the flesh. We need to prepare ourselves spiritually and physically in order to not be burned at His coming.

Almost 16 years ago he gave guidance in the October 1995 General Conference, it seems to be even more pertinent today.

Keep in Mind

Ancient prophets have warned us repeatedly that destructive events will occur in our day. By preparing ourselves, both temporally and spiritually, we will be ready to respond to these emergencies or disasters.

Don't be the one who says, I'll just come and take yours.

Should the Lord decide to cleanse nation, and the need for that cleansing seems to be increasing. Famines, earthquakes, storms, or man-made events in this land could wipe out a large percentage of slothful people. Yet we cannot say we have not been warned.

Learning how to provide providently for your family. Choosing wisely for their care, safety, and needs while obtaining the needed skills, items, as well as needed spiritual preparedness.

We see disasters happen with Storms, Earthquakes, Volcanic Events, even Monetary Collapse, or job loses and illness. Everyone of these is a disaster. It is wise to follow the advice of Heavenly Father and Christ Jesus the Son in the Holy Scriptures.
